S&P Global Inc. prior to April 2016 McGraw Hill Financial, Inc., and prior to 2013 McGraw-Hill Companies is an American publicly traded corporation headquartered in Manhattan, New York City. Its primary areas of business are financial information and analytics. It is the parent company of S&P Global Ratings, S&P Global Market Intelligence, and S&P Global Platts, CRISIL, and is the majority owner of the S&P Dow Jones Indices joint venture. "S&P" is a shortening of "Standard and Poors" An upset former Analyst Content from Ahmedabad said this about the work environment at S&P GLOBAL in a review published by AMBITION BOX: “High level of work corruption. Lack of morale, ethics: Unethical, immoral people are in bulk. If you are honest, hardworking then you should avoid this company at the Ahmedabad location. Poor salary scale as compared to profile. Poor growth. In fact, I have seen the 1st company in my career where seniors are getting less salary as compared to fresher. This one is totally strange"

"low pay very less in new york"

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"No teamwork, lack of training and no transparency! It depends on what team you are working with, some teams work together very well as a team, unfortunately that was not the case for me. A lot of unknown and figure it out yourself processes. Definitely the worst experience I have had by far, no detailed explanation on your daily tasks and very messy, often just get throw under the bus to work on a project that you don’t even know what’s going on... Or what tools you can use and how...not sure how can anyone learn from this type of leadership and training... more inexperienced employees had no experience in coaching or training is the key team members you can learn from, but they are not experienced enough to provide trainings.... nobody’s on the same page and everyone does their own things, no team can function like this m...S&P had great leaders a while back, but now majority of them are forced to leave... the company kept losing valuable workers but there is no attention to this matter...high turnover really is caused by a lot of issues the higher management doesn’t even know...not recommended to work for this type of work environment at all! Definitely the worst...."

Director IT Portfolio Management (Current Employee) says

"Work/life balance: It is only on paper for people to look at. Once you try to use these benefits, they will become performance issues.Management: Everything you learn in management courses about what not to do, S&P does.Backward culture. No empowerment.CIOs not transparent. You are shot from above for introducing change. Change is not welcomed."

Editorial Intern (Former Employee) says

"I worked for McGraw-Hill Education as a summer intern and the experience did exactly what it was supposed to do. It taught me a lot about life. I came in during a "reconstruction period," which means management was calling employees into conferences rooms by the tens and firing them. Some people received severance packages, but it was extremely sad. When I started, I wasn't really taught anything or how to do my job, I had to jump in. I wasn't given the materials that other interns were given. I understand that I had to take initiative, but I didn't even have the basics such as style and grammar books. Everything I did and learn was solicited. The aura was dog-eat-dog. Them editors were very smug and bitter. The management acted like doing their job was a favor to you. My peers were like chickens with their heads cut off, which meant I had to pick up a lot of the slack. One the interns even killed himself, there after. Before I started I thought that working there was my dream job, but knowing what I know now, I am glad they were on a hiring freeze when I graduated.pay, professionalism"

Assistant (Former Employee) says

"Be careful when working as a contract employee here. It only take 1 bad seed and it is a super controlling, attention seeking Manager. Unhealthy Manager and Politics will cause great employees to leave a job....due to controlling, unhealthy, back stabing and threatening people acting as HR outside of her lane. Always understand your work ethics because it will be tested. Unfortunate but true.Great VPNot able to share what is actually going on. To the right people for best results."

Printing (Former Employee) says

"Our dept was very micro managed with managers who watched your ever move. They watched if you were 2 minutes late and kept a time sheet on you. They are supposed to the be the one of the top 100 companies to work for in the USA for women. No way. I forgot to say, we were all salary. Our department would not let you work at home and would not let you change your hours due to child care issues or having children. I did meet alot of nice people. Several people in our department had nothing to do, so we were put on special projects on downtime. I think it is a good place to work but all the managers have different styles. Our boss had to know everything you were doing from you shoes, clothing to what time you arrived. He had someone who would report everything to him from within our department and she would do it over email. So you would find out about it later. Even if you were talking about something that was not her business.overall I would not go back to work there.good benefitslots of bad things to say"

Data Researcher (Former Employee) says

"The compensation and increments are less compared to other MNC's. The work is very monotonous and has nothing to gain knowledge or learn from. Data entry and data screening work and not related with the Indian market. The work experience is not considered in other companies mostly, it becomes difficult to switch to other companies."

Editor (Former Employee) says

"S&P Global, which is a sought after company for those dealing in financial information, IT-enabled services and business journalism, doesn’t have a good recruitment process at its Gurgaon office. Employees are hired without paying much attention to their skills and experience to see if they are best suited for the job. At the top of it, they are not given any orientation or training to perform their job role in the desired manner. And, constant scrutiny makes things worse for those who are grappling with lack of tactical support to gain confidence.Virtual work environment, little cross-functional coordination"

SUPERVISOR, HUMAN RESOURCES SERVICE CENTER (Former Employee) says

"I thought the Mcgraw Hill companies would be a wonderful place to work and retire from someday. Boy, was I wrong. It is way too top heavy with too many directors, managers, supervisors and so on. They do not appreciate you as an employee or as an individual and the favortism never seems to end. How they can eliminate american jobs and give them to india is beyond my comprehension. But then again, when the big people make so much, there is no regard for the little people. This was a great company back in the day and now it is being run into the ground. After 16 years of being employed, doing a wonderful job I was also discarded without a blink of the eye.none anymoretoo many to count"

Elle says

"Abominable service. Again I have been trying to pursue my mutual exchange. I was finally given a date for inspection Wednesday the 8th at 11:30am. I have had no call. I am still waiting. I contacted them and they cannot get hold of the man scheduled to ring me. I am shocked at the service they have provided. And continue to let me down. I do NOT recommend Stonewater."

Alan Edmends says

"WORST EVER AGENTS I have lived in a block of flats under their management They have done absolutely nothing since I have moved in The main intercom doesn't work There are items that have needed to be cleared up for months I have contacted them at least 20 times they still have done nothing I put in a formal complaint I have spoken to other tenants abouts the problens, they think they have carried out the complaint They've not lifted a finger Worst ever agent's"

Petra Samuels says

"I have lived at my property for 5+years and what can I say? Stonewater have racially profiled me and my children on numerous occasions. They have blamed my children constantly with no evidence, have refused to do repairs and generally made my life a living hell. Despite complaining about my next door neighbour they refuse to take things seriously I’ve sent in evidence of the child smoking but all they did was send a letter. Errrmm what does that do. Stonewater are a joke they collect thousands of pound in rent on a monthly basis and they want you to spend money out of your own pocket and do up their properties. They refuse to remove a tree that will cost me over two thousand pounds but it’s their property. So therefore I refuse to even touch the back garden. Whenever there is a complaint that is posted to this site they are quick to respond, but call them up, they will fabricate so it seems like they are doing something. So I’m asking stonewater what are you going to do about the next door neighbours that I have lived next door to for 5+years, what will your response be. Whoever is thinking of moving to a stonewater property think hard because they are not worth the trouble. They are greedy people who do not care about their tenants. They hate anyone who is of colour but they have to look like they are being fair to the minorities. No matter how many emails I’ve sent with evidence, no matter how many police calls I have made, Stonewater refuse to acknowledge there is a problem. So it’s time to pull out the big guns"

Janlouise says

"Hi i moved into a stone water property last Sept to be nearer family as my health isnt goid and ive been quite unwell the last 4 years especially ..my mobility us very poor so needed a ground floor flat ,I moved from a bungalow..I had issues from day one all the previous tenants stuff was still in cubcupboards drawers and sheds ,i asked stonewater to pkease remove these things the person had fied 2 years before..The home was a void so this should of been sorted thrn.According to neighbours no one had lived here since his death..The place was ina shocking state smelly cold damp and filthy. .my family helped clean 2nd decorated and repkasterd blown walls ..The heating was broken so new boiler and panel was ordered 5 weeks no heating /hot water ..The bathroom was vile floors soaking due to boiler leaks..garden fences down ,blown Windows faulty electrics the whole place was a hovel, but I need to be around family for support stone water knew all of this but didn't care and for what I can tell as long as u pay ur rent they really don't..There customer care is not there..I've had so many issues with the property they come out take pictures measure up never to be seen again, or just don't turn up at all..they pass the buck ..Its so frustrating how little they csre about vulnerable people.."
